Sub Shop Platitude...

Seen on a wall in one of my regular lunch spots:

"The gap between more and enough never closes."
Is this true in your world?

Is this a problem in your mind?

Is there/what is the fix?

What an incredible post Fred. This is incredibly true in my world and only with age have I begun to understand that. You and I have talked about how much more fun life gets when you hit your (early) 30's ;), and I think this falls into that bucket.

At this point I'm not sure if most of us ever truly get a grip on managing "enough" versus "more." It seems like it will always be there due in large part to individuals just wanting to do better, to never be complacent, to always be looking for improvmenent. I'm not how many people are able to recognize the balance that approach requires in order to not get sucked into more vs enough power struggle.

We've had this conversation many times amongst the Lexington Patio Crew at my house and the general the argument seems to settle on where your heart and intent are. Are you living/working for the Glory of God or are you living/working for the glory of you, your house, your car, your vacations. What are you doing with the gifts that God gives you? Are you enjoying the spoils of success in this life "more" or less than sharing your wealth with those that need it?

Thanks for jacking me up today brother! I needed it! I'll be in Atlanta this weekend cheering on the Cats if you want to slide over and join us!

I'll smack you around anytime you want Chris!

Thanks for sharing your perspective. Good stuff.

As the beneficiary of a couple of back patio conversations at your place, I can say that you guys have a good thing going. Keep it up.

Have fun in Hotlanta. Go Cats!
